About Me

Hi there! I'm Chris 👋

I'm a software engineer with over a decade of experience building software. I've worked with a diverse range of companies across the UK, including those in Retail, Hospitality, Legal Services, and Life Sciences.

I love working in collaborative environments, enjoying the entire software development lifecycle – from initial design and planning with tools like Miro, to backend development with C# and .NET, frontend development with Vue and React (with TypeScript), and ultimately, deployment with Azure DevOps and Azure.

After spending two years exploring Japan, I'm excited to start a new chapter in my coding journey.

In 2025, I'll be expanding my .NET and React (and Next.js) expertise which I hope to write more about on here. I'll also be exploring the world of Large Language Models (LLMs), which I began in 2024, which I have no doubt will involve learning Python after all these years.

Outside of work, I enjoy learning new things, so I'll often pick up a new tool or technology to play around with, or practice my Japanese (こんいちは!). When I'm not studying I'm devouring anything related to Frank Herbert's Dune series.
